Two Dresses

ZolablueBlog Two Dresses The mall was empty that day as the girl strolled through the hallway gazing at the merchandise behind the glass display windows of the shops. Beautiful dresses, and exotic shoes with six-inch heels so high she dared to think of walking in them because she found herself clumsy even in her four-inch pumps. Lovely tops made of lace, chenille, denim, and other materials she did not recognize, was accompanied by their matching bottoms drew her attention as she passed the store, enticing her to stop in and try them on or something else that caught her attention in the brightly lit store. She knew she only had a few dollars left from her paycheck, after she paid her rent, utilities, and daycare costs for her son, so she resisted the pull within her to enter the store. The cinnamon buns fresh out of the oven wafted throughout the mall drifting upward to the glass cathedral ceiling. Doves resting atop of gleaming silver beams running along the top of t

The Passing of Time

The Passing of Time Hello friends, my days have been very tiring. Mostly mentally, because I am so busy with writing, blogging, and working, but happily, I must confess, that I see the blessings of God manifesting in all areas of my life. My hubby and I purchased a piece of property, my books are awesome, and although my focus is on writing, I have been offered an advancement in my job. All these things seemed to come quickly, which leads me to believe that I am heading into another chapter of my life. The Passing of Time. “Why do things change?” I asked the Holy Spirit during my spiritual meditation, and he reminded me of the seasons. Life is similar to the cycles of nature I believe, and just as the seasons change so does part of our life. Treacherous Deceit Reading

On Sale Now Unexpected Travelers Still fatigued from her restless night of insomnia, Mona yawned as she tried to awaken from the haze of weariness as she lay in the cold, unfamiliar surroundings of the tent. Water had formed on the inside of the nylon tent and dripped upon her face, making her night unpleasant and cold. The moist atmosphere made the humidity level inside almost unbearable, dampening the sleeping bag and making her chill to the bone. This had caused her difficulty breathing and clogged up her nose. Unable to breathe she inhaled through her open mouth most of the night and breathing in the wintery air had given her a sore throat. During the night the glow of the fire outside enabled her to watch her smoky breath drift upward, increasing her misery. Unable to rest, she only slept a short while, and even in those moments of presumed sleep, her mind was unable to shut down; she thought about the journey ahead and remembered Jonas’ leering grin. Mona was sure Jonas, Wayne,

A Love Beyond Our Understanding

A Love Beyond Our Understanding While contemplating my life with God, reviewing the occasions of goodness He has showered upon me, I realized that through faith and belief in Jesus I am able to overcome any obstacle arising against me. My beliefs, health, mental well-being, prosperity--as I see it--, and the obtaining of every other good thing is up to me. I determine whether I receive it or not. John 10:10-11 (KJV) “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.” Through Jesus's sacrifice, I received the greatest gift possible; praise be to God for His mercy. No longer is any sacrifice needed for my sins, and no longer do I need to feel that God is holding them against me. Jesus paid final sacrifice for me. I can approach the Father God with peace knowing that He loves me, and only wants the best for me; not as some say, that He is going to hurt and des
